Off-Ramp RechargePort Partners with Ekoenergetyka America to Deploy Field-Proven EV Charging Infrastructure
Off-Ramp RechargePort has secured a strategic partnership with Ekoenergetyka America — Europe's leading commercial EV charger manufacturer with 14 years of field-proven technology and over 14,000 global installations worldwide.
Together, we're deploying their Axon Easy 180kW DC fast charging systems across our planned Massachusetts sites and future New England corridors. The Axon Easy is engineered for real-world conditions — rated to -31°F, built for high-throughput commercial environments, and backed by a 5-year warranty.
Each charger integrates into our proprietary Green Resilience energy architecture — combining on-site solar generation, wind power, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) — designed to maintain full operations during grid volatility, peak demand events, and Northeast winter conditions where EV range drops 25–40%.
This partnership addresses one of the most critical gaps in the current charging landscape: hardware that doesn't just work in ideal conditions, but holds up when drivers need it most.
"We're building for real-world reliability rather than optimal conditions. By pairing Ekoenergetyka's field-proven technology with our integrated energy stack, we're creating a durable, high-margin asset that protects both the driver and the investor."
— Stephen Shirley, Founder & CEO, Off-Ramp RechargePort
"Our partnership with Off-Ramp RechargePort is another milestone in our efforts to bring reliable solutions to fast charging infrastructure in the places they're needed most."
— Stu Campbell, Head of Sales & Marketing, Ekoenergetyka America

Founding Story
"I Didn't See a Green Revolution.
I Saw a Broken System."
Off-Ramp RechargePort was founded by Stephen Shirley, whose career was built on the front lines of commercial property maintenance — the person who made sure the lights stayed on, the systems stayed up, and problems were solved before the customer ever knew they existed.
When C5-C7 spinal fusion surgery ended his days in the field, the fixer mindset remained. Surveying the EV landscape, Shirley didn't see the clean-energy revolution that headlines promised. He saw something different: EV chargers that didn't work, a grid that couldn't cope, and a customer experience that felt cold, isolated, and unreliable.
The data confirmed it. J.D. Power found that 14% of EV owners couldn't successfully complete a charge on a given visit. Bloomberg documented that 1-in-5 public chargers were broken at any given moment. Federal NEVI standards target 97% uptime — and routinely miss it.

1-in-5
Public DC fast chargers non-functional at point of need (Bloomberg / Harvard Business School, 2024). In the Northeast, where winter reduces EV range by 25–40%, a broken charger isn't an inconvenience — it's a stranded driver.
In 2025, Shirley founded Off-Ramp RechargePort with a simple mandate: build infrastructure that works the way a commercial property manager would demand it work. Not 97% uptime — 99.9%. Not a plug and a parking spot — a restorative sanctuary. Not dependent on the grid — energy-native, BESS-backed, and renewable-powered.
Massachusetts has mandated 100% zero-emission vehicle sales by 2035. The policy is locked in. The infrastructure isn't. That gap is the opportunity Off-Ramp was built to fill.
"I spent 20 years making sure commercial properties worked. EV charging infrastructure is no different — it either works reliably or it fails the people who depend on it. We're building it right from day one."
